The following is from this month’s Reader’s Digest. (Yes, I read it and not just the comics and jokes.) The list is taken from “The Richest Man in Town” by W. Randall Jones.
- Seek money for money’s sake and ye shall not find.
- Find your perfect pitch. (Know your strengths and weaknesses.)
- Be your own boss.
- Get addicted to ambition.
- Wake up early. Be early.
- Don’t set goals–execute or get executed.
- Fail so you can succeed.
- Location doesn’t matter. Success can take place anywhere.
- Moor yourself to morals.
- Say yes to sales.
- Borrow from the best–and the worst.
- Never retire.
Several of these resonate with me.
- To make sure any business or enterprise I am involved with is operating with the highest integrity and for the benefit of others.
- To not let mistakes or failures take the wind out of my sails.
- To do what I am.
- To learn from others. Why find the same land mines that others have already learned from.
